Aromaflex is a ground breaking therapy which incorporates the use of Aromatherapy Essential Oils in conjunction with reflexology and is designed for those who already possess a L3 or above qualification in Reflexology.

The course is available as two separate courses:-

box An Introduction to Aromaflex

box Aromaflex

An Introduction to Aromaflex

This exciting aromaflex course takes 12 essential oils and shows reflexologists how to use them on specific reflexes to improve the experience of the client. The course is assessed by:-

Workbook which you will complete from the information on the course and your own research

Multi Choice Test

Case studies. Two people need to each receive 2 Aromaflex treatments.

Blending Practical Assessment

The course will include 12 essential oils and their use blended in cream and a carrier oil. This course comprises on line content plus one weekend at the QE2 Centre in Southampton.

Lavender, Neroli, Clary Sage, Lemongrass, Grapefruit, Chamomile Roman, Eucalyptus, Tea tree, Geranium, Rose, Ylang-ylang and Frankincense will be covered in this course. We also cover 2 carrier oils plus use of a cream and lotion base.

The course is comprised of 18 online modules which takes you through the 40 essential oils and 20 carrier oils we cover in the course, plus mandatory blending workshops are in Jan, Feb, Mar and June. Assessment is in July

Each module contains lots of questions and in the course there are lots of video clips and audio clips. I produce the video and audio clips in my office or treatment room (so they are not super slick!), but sometimes you just need to see somebody doing something or hear how they explain things rather than looking at flat text.

We all cover all sorts of different ways of delivering the oils - so oils will be mixed with creams, oils, using in bath products, sprays, roll ons.

Some things cannot be taught online, so we have mandatory blending workshops in January, February, March and June. These are carried out at the QE2 Centre in Southampton. The blending workshops are a really important part of the course and need to be attended, but if you want to start blending before the first blending workshop, then we can get you going using Skype.

How is the course assessed?

The course is assessed by the following:-

Practical Assessment at the QE2 Centre in Southampton

Essential oils workbook which you will complete from the information on the course and your own research

Carrier oils workbook which you will complete from the information on the course and your own research

Aromatherapy workbook which you will complete from the information on the course

Multi-choice exam

Case studies. Six people need to each receive 6 treatments. A treatment can be a physical treatment, such as reflexology, where you use essential oils as part of the treatment, or it can be a blend. So you may provide a client a spray which they use every time they get anxious. This still counts as a blend. So in total, you need to complete and write up 36 treatments.
