Diabetes is a growing problem in the UK with over 3.2 million people having the condition. Management and complications of diabetes cost annually 10% of the total NHS budget. The chance of a client walking through your door with diabetes is increasing.

This one-day course will introduce you to:
• An overview of diabetes in the UK
• The differences between type 1 and type 2
• Complications of diabetes
• Treatment for diabetes
• The foot and diabetes – what should you be looking for?
What considerations should you be making when assessing the diabetic foot and treating the client?
The day will be structured around presentations, a workshop to get you to think about the person with diabetes and practical sessions including demonstrations.
This class is taught by Tracey Curtis M.A.R., an experienced Reflexologist and a Diabetes Specialist Nurse.
